Richard Rowe currently serves as an Executive Vice President of Sage Canyon Advisors, LLC. Mr. Rowe brings over 30 years of experience to SCA developing, managing and deploying systems technology, intellectual property and high technology businesses in industries ranging from satellite systems to gaming systems to consumer products.

Mr. Rowe recently worked as Sr. VP Intellectual Property Management and Systems Research for International Game Technology where he lead a team which helped manage IGT’s patent portfolio and supported business teams in the development of intellectual property and new technology. Mr. Rowe held numerous other positions during his 14 years with IGT, the most notable including Sr. VP Systems Product Development, General Manager and VP of IGTs System Business, and VP Systems Engineering. During his time at IGT, Mr. Rowe assisted with numerous acquisitions and integration efforts.

Prior to joining IGT, Mr. Rowe worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation in Sunnyvale, CA. for approximately 10 years on a variety of non-classified and classified programs. One of the most notable was the Milstar Satellite Program where Mr. Rowe managed the GSE system engineering teams responsible for providing the ground system technology that tested the satellite prior to launch, calibrated the Satellite once in orbit, and maintained the Satellite while in orbit.

Prior to joining Lockheed, Mr. Rowe worked for Watkins-Johnson Company (now WJ Communications) in San Jose, CA for approximately five years where he engineered, designed and deployed automatic test equipment and systems that performed functional test and diagnosis of electronic systems, subsystems, modules, and circuit boards for customers ranging from the USAF and NSA to the Singapore AF.

Prior to joining Watkins-Johnson, Mr. Rowe served four years in the USAF working in the Tactical Air Command (TAC) Component Repair Squadron (CRS) where he was responsible for maintaining and servicing a wide range of F4E avionics system technology including WCS, ECM, Radar, and other F4E systems. Mr. Rowe received his first US patent, #4,472,677, while in the USAF.

Mr. Rowe earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and an Associate of Science Degree in Avionics Systems Technology. Mr. Rowe holds an MBA from Florida Institute of Technology and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He is also a member of the Florida Institute of Technology Nathan M Bisk College of Business Advisory Board. He is an inventor on over 420 separate patents and applications pending world-wide and taught evening classes for 13 years in Computer Science and related technologies at Mission College in Santa Clara, CA.

Mr. Rowe founded Think Tek, Inc., an intellectual property development and licensing business that develops technology for a variety of industries. He serves as President and CEO.

He completed the Lockheed Management Training Program and the UC Berkeley Teaching Program.

Mr. Rowe holds a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7 Securities License and a FINRA Series 24 Securities License.
